New agreement with DIC Corporation

DIC Corporation (www.dic-global.com/eu/en/products/pps/) is a Japanese chemical group with operations in more than 60 countries, employing more than 20,000 people in 174 subsidiaries.

Its Solid Compounds division is one of 3 world leaders in the field of PPS. Since 1976, it has been producing DIC.PPS compounds (40,000 t/y of total capacity at 4 sites) as well as base resins (23,000 t/y of total capacity for 4 plants).

The compound range was enriched in 2011 by the purchase of PPS Primef. In Europe, the sales office has been based in Düsseldorf (Germany) for more than 30 years. A compounding site was started in Vienna (Austria) in 2013 and a technical center launched at the end of 2015 in Frankfurt (Germany).

The offer includes all types of PPS compounds (based on branched-crosslinked resin and / or linear), the famous modified shock grades, alloys and many specialty products: friction, thermal conductor, non-halogenated, epoxy adhesion , Improved CTI, long fibers… The sales and marketing team Europe also relies on a network of local distributors. As of May 2017, the diffusion of the entire range of compounds (DIC.PPS and Primef) for France, Benelux and North Africa has been entrusted to AMP Polymix.

Over the past five years, the AMP-POLYMIX Group (www.ampxgroup.com), now headed by Julie Fath-Leguillier, has intensified its international expansion. Present for more than 35 years on the French market in a highly competitive environment, the group now applies to other countries the formula that made its success. After the Maghreb and Benelux, the group was established in 2016 in the Iberian Peninsula with AMP Iberia and on the Balkans with POLYMIX Adria. Next step, Romania. More and more focused on technical polymers, the group aims for a turnover of 100 million euros by next year.
