CTS is the first European compounder to integrate INFUSE™ olefin block copolymers (OBC) from Dow in its Téfabloc® thermoplastic elastomer product line.
The Téfabloc® range of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) from CTS continues to offer differentiated solutions from best-in-class polymer technologies. This strategy has made CTS a sought-after partner to develop unique solutions based directly on customer needs.
At the leading edge, CTS is now the first European compounder to sign a licence agreement with Dow Chemical to employ INFUSE ™ olefin block copolymers in the making of TPE compounds to be marketed under the Téfabloc® TP name.
The use of Téfabloc® TP formulations, powered by INFUSE, offer great heat aging performance and good elastic recovery at service temperature up to 70°C. Polypropylene compatible, Téfabloc® TPs offer ease in processability and a high productivity along with the ability to be easily colored.
“With so many assets, Téfabloc® TP powered by INFUSE ™ OBCs deliver a significant advantage to our customers,” says Etienne Weil General Manager of CTS. He specifies that the Téfabloc® TP product range launched now has been developed as extremely versatile, in order to serve the largest number of applications.
“We are very excited about the launch of Téfabloc® TP powered by INFUSE olefin block copolymers,” says Filip Tauson, Global Market Manager for Thermoplastic Elastomers at The Dow Chemical Company. “This is a major milestone for Dow to offer this license to CTS, a top quality European formulator.
